YTM offers rehearsal workshops to encourage ’used to’ musicians to have a go in an unthreatening environment. We welcome all instruments – string, woodwind, brass, percussion, guitar, keyboard … Grade 3 / 4 and higher is the target level for participation, and an ability to read music is an advantage.

We will work together to play simple, well-known music for multiple instrument parts. Examples from recent workshops include:
– Jupiter arrangement from Holst’s ‘Planets’ suite
– I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables
– Theme from the Eurovision Song Contest
– Medley of Christmas Carols
– Just the Way You Are (Bruno Mars)
– Make You Feel My Love (Adele)
Workshops in 2020 are on the following dates at the Baptist Church in Wokingham from 09.30 to 12.00. In general, they are on the last Saturday of each month. The cost is £20 for the morning.
